Tail

Longish hairs can be blended with the shorter coat with the careful use of thinning scissors. |
Trim hair in a V shape starting just below the hocks. |

Tidy up around the bottom area with your thinning scissors. Go as far as where the coat changes it's direction making it smooth. |

For a docked tail: Trim the tail to give it a neat, rounded appearance. |

|
For an undocked tail: trim the end of the tail with straight scissors. Hold the tail out so that the hair hangs down and then trim the length as you would for a dock tail being careful not to taper it towards the tip but to make it look even all through. |
