Throat and Neck

Hold your dog's chin up and find a position just above the breastbone. With your #10 blade clip the dog's lower jaw and neck, clipping in downward strokes following the natural V shape to the breast bone. |
Trim long hairs along V line with straight scissors and then blend though to the neck with thinning scissors. |

Using thinning scissors with the lie of the hair - never against it - trim the neck so that the short hair blends smoothly with the longer hair. Carefully monitor how much you are taking off - err on the side of too little, rather than too much. |
